I have been using EMS for many years for supplementing personal training (long distance running) and until now have used exclusively a COMPEX Mi Sport unit.
Recently our dogs have become paralyzed and the physiotherapist prescribed EMS to battle disuse atrophy and TENS to reduce pain. Our physio uses Globus units and Compex units, so I was able to compare my COMPEX Mi Sport with the Globus 200 and 1200. In fact the need arose to buy a second unit in order to be able to treat both dogs at home and I purchased a Global 200 from currentbody.com.
Comparing the COMPEX Mi Sport with the Globus 200 for my personal sports training, the first thing that caught my attention was that the stimulation is much more comfortable and pleasant with the GLOBUS. Timings can be adjusted for each training phase which is very useful comparing to the notoriously short warmup timings on the Compex, which cannot be adjusted. I almost always use the Globus now for personal training, except for the recovery plus program on the COMPEX which I prefer for recovery.
Where I really started to love my GLOBUS is for treating my dogs! The rehabilitation and pain relieve features are much more diverse and effective on the GLOBUS. I could see results with "Atrophy recovery" within days and the TENS treatment showed immediate effects. The 2 2 function is a time and live saver if you have to work 4 muscle groups on a dog and again, being able to change the program timings is a big plus.
